Visa Expiry
Hi all, my wife is in India for delivery which is expected towards the end of September and also her Visa and RP will expire Sept. 30th. Is there any grace period for entry in Qatar even if the Visa is expired. I know we can extend the RP by paying QR 500 in the Airport Immigration if the visa is valid. Hi, I am suggesting you this as I am also facing the same question and tried to get a possible answer to it.
Dear Please be aware that you cannot post / courrier self or anybodies passport to other country. Sending of passport out of the country through courrier / post is Illegal as your passport is a Government Property.
Secondly. If your wife is pregnant and unable to travel to Qatar and if during this time her visa/RP has expired then she is not allowed to board the plane nor allowed to clear her immigration check at her departure location itself.
You need to reapply for a fresh VISA if it is for the first time arrival with all the documents attached with Immigration Dept / Ministry Of Labour
But if its an old Family VISA which is expired then please contact immigration to understand the renewal of the Family Visa.

i mentioned India without knowing your Nationality. You can check with the Qatar embassy in your country and check if they can help.
you are in a grave situation here. since your wife is out of Qatar, you do not have her passport. more over im sure even if she couriers you her passport you will not be able to extend her visa.unfortunately i think you will have to reapply with all the documents.you can give one try by checking with the immigration if your wife can courier her Passport to you and if you can extend it.You may also want to check with the Qatar Embassy in India. Im sure they can help you renew the RPhope that helps.
the visa and rp is the same right?when one one expires so does the other
Dear galloper its her visa is getting expired along with the RP. As I said If the visa is valid, they can extend the RP. But her Visa is also getting expired
you have to go to the Immigration office and pay the extension; what else you need?? Prepare all your documents and just go there!Regards!!
