Can i change my technician visa to engineer status after 6 months?

Im a mechanical engineer.my company brought me here on a technician visa since they did not have engineer visa with them.Can i change my status to engineer after 6 months as i need to bring my wife n family here.also is it possible to sponsor my family on my technician visa??Pls advise

Well yes it is possible , but you must have eng degree, attested from ur embassy ,as well u need to change your contract to make the status change if the company allows

its upto your company to change ure visa status and it is very much possible. you shud have ure engineering degree attested from the embassy and foreign ministry. i know this coz a collegue of mine had his status changed from technician to engineer too
