Moving to Qatar and working for Qatar Airways

My huband will be working for Qatar Airways and we will be moving next month.

DO you know the accomodations they give their employees? We have a 1 year old son, so we would like a nice place with amenities (pool, gym, tennis).

If someone works for the airline and can guve some tips, I'll appreciate! I am from ARgentina, so looking forward to find some latin women to hang out!

Thanks!

Hi, my names Craig, MD of Mirage Properties.

I have a number of friends who work for Qatar Airways, many with families. Most seem to be housed in Ain Khalid Gate Compound. Most are not overly impressed with their specific accommodation but the compound itself has great facilities for kids/families.

The best thing to do is take a look when you arrive, if you don't like it, ask for an allowance and find your own accommodation.

If you know what allowance you would be entitled to then take a look on our website www.mirageproperty.com, to get an idea of what you can get for your money.

I hope that helps but if you need further info please feel free to 'PM' me or call our office on +974 44 44 44 31.

Kind regards

Craig at Mirage

Forget about Gym, Swimming Pool..Its up to  your Husband to take his Housing Allowance and find a Accomodation. if he does not like the Accomodation which Housind Dept showed him once he arrives in Doha.

There are a lot of expat ladies in similar situation (husbands work for QA) on the Expatwoman Qatar website. I would suggest you repost this topic there and you will find many ladies arriving soon too - with children - and a lot of useful advise, inclusive of accomodation photos :)
