My husband has a decent job offer in Qatar and we are trying to decide what to do. He is an engineer and has been offered a decent basic plus flights, accomm, school fees, medical and family visa.

I have a decent job where we are at present though but quite specialised. I saw one job i was qualified for for advertised in Qatar for 80k stg plus benefits.

If we did come over and I took a year off to settle kids etc, would I be able to work under the family visa. Or would I get hired under local rules and lower pay?
