!am planning to come qatar for job searching. Iam civil engineer having 14 yrs. of exp. (8 yrs. in UAE). Please Answer my Following Questions
1. which is the best visa to enter visit or business?
2. How is the job market for Construction field in qatar?
3. What would be the cost of the visa?
4. Insha allah once i get the job how can i change my visa without exit from qa.?

It is better to come on a Business Visa, as your intention is to look for a job. You can stay for 30 days from the date of arrival, and can extend the period of stay for another 60 days through renewal.The scope of getting a Job depends what type of job you are looking for, your expected package and your experience.The actual cost of the visa is QR 200/- but if you are arranging from agents, then the cost will vary from QR 700 to QR 1000/-Now regarding the last question you asked, you can change your status from Business Visa to Residence Visa with out exit, only if your current sponsor who has given the Business Visa provide you an NOC and you need to pay a fee at the Immigration

What is your specialization as a civil engineer? What is the category of your experience.. There are so many fields that a civil engineer can work. Design and detailed engineering? Site surpervision? QA/QC ? Planning and scheduling? Costing and budgetting? Project management? Based on this categories, the speed of processing of your working visa will depend. If the company hiring you, needs your specialization very quickly then your visa might be procesed faster.. One thing though that i can say is that (based on my observation around doha) There are so many construction works going on around Qatar, in all categories. My company even has a lot of projects that we are coming short of manpower.. DOnt worry about who will process your visa since your company will take care of that. Good luck..
