EPL - Another great weekend

OK.. On to serious stuff.

The EPL is back and after four matches , it looks like its going to be a strange year.

Arsenal blew it yesterday - Two own goals and losing to Venkys' Blackburn. Whilst QPR won.

So, where does Arsene go from here ?

Will United beat Chelski today ?

By GodFather.• 21 Nov 2011 11:48
GodFather.

So Frr Liverpool have not lost to the Top teams! They drew against Man U. Beat both Chelsea and Arsenal away from Home!

Raven1968

for sure it will be a test for Liverpool, but also for City....will be interesting to see how they juggle the CL games then playing a big EPL game following the CL, even Utd struggled last season with that. Will be a cracking game though.

Liverpool may get hammered by MCity - who knows....

By Raven1968• 21 Nov 2011 09:31
Raven1968

yep RVP is on fire now, Walcott looks good as well, but Per just sucks at the moment, even his first half against Chelski was horrible.

By Raven1968• 21 Nov 2011 09:29
Raven1968

yeah thats the frustration UK. They need to take those opportunities against the minnows. Dropping points at hoem against Swansea and Norwich didn't help.

Van Persie played brilliantly, but how bad is Mertesacker :O)

By GodFather.• 21 Nov 2011 09:18

Yep I think Liverpool always play well against the big teams and keeping on dropping points against the minnows!

how good was that scouser win over the mincers, cracking EPL this year. Another biggie next Sunday with City visiting Liverpool....I fancy the Reds in that game, a week off with no Euro football, and the City with a mid week CL game...

wow go the Arsenal, 5-3 who saw that result coming....both defences leaking big time.....RVP on fire, AVB looking furious on the bench...LoL...love it, helps Liverpool out now, provided we can beat West Brom later today.

yes raven Crikey indeed hope they get a a series of back to back wins to make up for the last few draws which they should have one..

GodFather.

Wow what a Sunday Blue Sunday.. Man United finally got the taste of their own medicine who better to give it to them then their noisy neighbours.

Just when I was recovering from the disappointment of Liverpool wasting all their chances against the Canaries, its all forgotten now after seeing the Man U getting hit for a Six in the Theater of Dreams which turned into the Theater of nightmares for them.

Chelsea surprise lost. Drogba deserved his Red, it was a bit harsh on Boswinga!

Wins for Spurs, Arsenal and Newcastle..

EPL is looking interesting now!

Anfield is not exactly the easiest venue to beat Liverpool at...doesn't matter what kind of team Fergie or whoever else puts out...it's not called a fortress for nothing,Fergie & his boys are lucky to have salvaged that point, the 3 were almost in the bag...

By britexpat• 16 Oct 2011 15:39

Gerrard's goal was lucky. Can't understand the team Fergie put out though.

To make matters worse - City are top of the legue :O(

Well, "Arry is a brilliant manager no question...i was thinking worst case scenario 1-0 defeat, not FOUR bl**dy goals! anyways, must move on...it's only the start of the season...

By Raven1968• 21 Sep 2011 08:05

Not to mention Liverpool were a bit undiscplined, hopefully thats their one shocker for the season, a good win in the Craling Cup tonight and a solid 2-0/3-0 over Wolves at the weekend will be great....consider it an early xmas pressie Santa!!

what a night of football hey?

Was surprised at the city result - they will need to learn how to juggle the champions league with the Prem... Aguero looks like he's on fire!

What a goal by Nani... Rooneys slip was funny (only because we ended up winning) and what about Torres missing an open net?? lol at the moment it looks like 50m pounds not well spent

I use Astrill (as a VPN) at home but the internet here is pretty lame. I hear that there is 'hi-speed' internet in the form of optical fiber coming to Qatar very soon...anyone heard anything about it?

I like the gossip pages on bbc (http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/gossip_and_transfers/9593971.stm)

I saw that they had TV's showing al-Jazeera sports at la cigal hotel in the shisha garden, but they dont have the commentry on. It's a pity there isn't a shisha cafe in the souk that shows the games... nothing better than having a shisha while watching the game.

in all fairness to Torres he isn't getting great service from the mids, Malouda and Lampard always look to score first rather than deliver....the Torres/Gerrard combo at Liverpool were fantastic for feeding off each other...Chelski mids are too selfish!@!

By radoha• 18 Sep 2011 08:46

My prediction is 2-1 to United... unless Torres remembers he is a footballer in which case i think it may be 2-2.

I'm glad the media have finally stopped going on about how Arsenal play great football... what's th point if they don't win anything?

By britexpat• 18 Sep 2011 08:41

Arsenal is going to have a torrid time with such a poor defense.
