A 2021 update. We managed a road trip from Doha to Riyadh! We are Indian QID holders. We will be sharing the whole experience up soon.

Just know that it is possible and the process is super smooth!

1. How to obtain "Visit Visa" ?

You have to get this visa thru Agents, you can find them in market easily near sanna round about or near arab round about.

You need following:

Company Letter

2 pasport size photographs with white back ground.

Original passport

Coppy of driving lisence and istamara.

2. What are the requirements and charges to get the visa?

Charges are QAR 135 Per person but this price depends on each case. some times they negotiate and reduce otherwise they insists for this. Also actual visa fee from KSA embassy is QAR 50 for each visa.

Remaining requirements i have covered in Sr 1.

3. How long it will take to get the visa?

3- 5 Working Days

4. What is the distance by road between Doha and Riyadh ?  I found it is around 587 KM from google search. Is that correct?

You can consider around 635 KM's

5. Can I drive in Saudi with Qatar Driving license?

YES you can drive on Qatari lisence , there is no issue

Proceed to Saudi Embassy here, and provide the following:

1. Company Letter

2. Passport Copy ( you & dependents)

3. 100 riyals per person

4. Within 3 days you can get the visa.

5. Approximately 600 to 700 kms. ( From Doha to Al Hasa, KSA 350 kms, & from Al Hasa to Riyadh 300 kms)

6. Yes you can use your Qatari Drivers License
