Newton British School

My child has just gone to reception from preschool. In preschool children had specialist subjects with specialist teachers - these seem to have been cancelled but the school fees put up. I was told by the school that it was inline with English schools but this is Qatar, I'm paying more than at des or doha college for a lesser service. Where can I complain about this, I'm getting nowhere with the school, should I go to SEC? Is anyone else got this problem???

I had a very bad experience with the head of primary section .... very rude and a proud woman!

Do a search on this Forum about 'Newton'. Result? Very bad.

Get your child on the waiting lists of other schools for the coming schoolyear and do not worry too much yet - practice 'jolly phonics' with your child. Everything will fall into place next schoolyear - away from Newton! I would try and complain to the SEC though. If parents keep quiet, they only allow these money-making schools to continue operating the way they are. And so many online complains about Newton can surely not be a coincidence?

There is little you can do. The policy here is, if you don't like it you can lump it.
