Mandi is right. some nationalities can get visa on arrival. for the others common mortals ;)

1- fill a family-Visit-visa aplication form (online or at any typist for 5 qr) preferably in arabic

2- Passport copy of yours and your mother's,

3- company letter stating

-your salary (must be >5.000QR) and

-that they provide u family accomodation (if not, provide no.4) and

-No objection from your sponsor that u bring ur mother for visit.

4- Rental contract (stamped by baladiya?)

5- QR. 200 processing fee for each visa but in credit card, no cash

since she is older than 60 years old, a commission must give its approval.

good luck

Kashif, if she is Canadian there's really no need for a visa. She would just need to do a tourist visa run every two months.

Hi drsam,

I was reading your posts and found that you provide really good advice to people here. I thought I would also ask you a question. My mother is 65. I want to bring her to Qatar with me. Is it possible that she gets visa for Qatar? If yes, what kind of visa? And what are the medical requirements? Where can I find this information from a government website? I would really appreciate your reply.

Thanks!

1. Contract with 10500 QR salary

2. 6 month bank statement and all other passport copy, marriage certificate, birth certificates, degree certificates(attested)

I think you need to cancel your visa in Dubai first, you cannot apply for a qatar work visa if you still have visa in Dubai.

In my case, although my mother in law is 71, didn't need to c the officer...It has nothing to do with nationality I agree it is the intention of the visit that is important

yes. he usually comes very early in the morning. but u can just drop the file, and come back 2 days later. it might be rejected (the visa request); u can ask to see him or have a second look at ur case. good luck.

oh! remember that if ur mom will stay over one month, she should do medical exam (blood and X-ray), and u have to renew (200QR/month), even though the visa is for 2 or 6 months.

I got visas for my parents in laws and both are close to 70. It is hard but not impossible. Like suggested, please go in person and request and I am confident that you'll also get it. Best of luck.

thank u drsam, akeed it matters that ur lebanese it seems they are more lineant in some nationalities, tayib if rejected it is for good? Plus is this Mr. Attiya available so early in the morning?

just apply at imigration departement in madinat khalifat.

room no 1, first floor, u fill in the papers, and provide the documents. since she is above 60, they will tell u "Mr Attiyya must give his approval". he comes monday and wednesday. he'll give green light, and u issue a visa at room no.4.

better go early in the morning (6:30-7:00) to avoid long queues.

i bring my dad (71) and mom (65) every winter for 3 months, and i'm also lebanese (if it matters).
