@ aaruni, I think there is no problem with traveling with a friend's family as a family member.
@mrssheilabutler, Yes it is possible to get transit visa to drive through Saudi Arabia on your way to UAE. Bare in mind that Saudi embassy does not deal with individuals so you will have to apply through an agent. Processing time is around 3-4 working days and would be better to apply at the earliest. There are so many agents who could do that for you, you can try this website http://www.alkanzservices.com/english.php
To apply you will need to have a letter from your sponsor, original passport, car license (it must be your own car and if it has installments, you can't travel with your car unless you get a letter from the bank to allow you to travel with car) and do not forget to take couple of picture with white background. Good Luck
Could anyone help us as well? Is it possible to obtain transit visas to drive from Doha through Saudia Arabia on the way to UAE in time for the coming Eid holiday? We won't be able to apply until Tuesday 25th October, will this be enough time and will an agency be able to process the visa in time? I heard that the embassy will be closing down for the Eid holiday soon. Does any one have a recent contact at an agency that can deal with this for us?
