Al Jazeera turning 15 - lots of activities
Doha headquartered Al Jazeera is turning 15 next month and has planned a slew of activities to celebrate their anniversary. From an art exhibition to academic seminars, music concerts to poetry recitals, multiple book launches to a 3D movie.
They even have a reality show to choose new on air talent :
Al Jazeera Media Training and Development Centre will also launch a new TV programme titled New Faces, which presents twelve candidates from nine Arabic countries who compete to become the new faces on TV screens. The programme will be a “live” show and will be aired mid-October for two weeks, at the end of which a panel of judges, which include various TV celebrities and experts, will choose the winners with the audiences’ assistance.

when and where , place and time , all invited or need prior reservation
.. and for a change we hope they also cover more stories closer to home and around the Gulf including the treatment of workers and of maids being beaten, burnt, pushed out of buildings, etc instead of giving wide and unlimited coverage to groups claiming empty victories
