CHANGING JOBS IN QATAR AFTER 6 MONTHS - HELP
Hi
I have been in my current job for 6 months. However, I recently got offered a job at QP after applying 10 months ago.
I am thinking about accepting the offer but I have been told that the MOI may not change my RP as I have only been with my present employer for under a year.
Obtaining an NOC from my present employer will not be an issue but I do not want to resign from my current job and then find my RP does not go through for QP so am left with no job.
Is this true? what can be done if anything in this situation? has anyone else gone through the same?
any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
I know you will lost a lot in this offer, but you have to accept the fact that it is really impossible to transfer.
even if you cancel your current visa and exit the country and return for a new visa still you can unable to get the job without NOC from the company.
and believe me even if you have a chance to get NOC you still have 50/50 chance to get visa under QP. immigration dept have the right to reject expat visa for QP when they can give to Qatari (the position) instead. and QP have no control over this.
if your current sponsor is that flexible you can get a borrowship from him.
this is a temporary transfer of sponsorship which is max to 6 months, and by the end of it you are supposed to get back to your old job, but then you will be eligible to get RP sponsorship change.. so you can do it.
you might Suggest this to QP Adminstration before you discuss it with your current employer
If NOC is not an issue, why dont you communicate to QP informing them, that you need to cancel your RP exit Qatar and return on a fresh visa issued by QP.
Its better for you to take advise in this regard from some authentic sources like govt. officials working in MOI. as they only can suggest you the correct way.
Best of Luck!!!
Yes thats true..u can transfer it only after 12 months...Meanwhile,,how did u landed with QP job..plz give some clue..DohaSUN
To my knowledge you cannot transfer sponsorship within the first 12 months.
