RP process for Wife

By Slytrellis

Hi,

I am a British man who is living in Qatar. I have been here for 2 months and have just got my RP.

My wife flew in on Sept 30th on a tourist visa, which she has extended to 28th Nov.

I now need to get her RP sorted.

Can anyone please tell me the process? Assuming that the process is started immediately after Eid, what will happen?

Will she need to leave the country due to her visa expiring on Nov 28th or does that not matter once she starts the RP process.

Any advice will be gratefully received.

Simon.

Sly trellis, you need to check with your company officials who did your rp for this matter, they are the only people who can give you accurate information. There are many people who get their family here within a short period of time, I don't think you need to be chasing this matter yourself.

Company's usually keep this forms with them and they get them filled, along as you are eligible to get your family, which I think you are. If you are working for a big company, they have their immigration officials who carry out these tasks for the employees.

HI hasi050 .. I would like to ask if you are 100% sure that we dont need to go to Labor department? Are you aware also if they allow now the Mandoob working visa to have a RP for their wife.. Because in labor department they dont allow Mandoob working visa to have a RP for their wife or family member.

I can provide statements from my uk bank account which is where my salary is currently paid into.

As I have only just got my RP I have not opened a local bank account yet. Does it need to be a local bank account?

Also, as we have only just moved into a villa within the last couple of weeks we have not yet had a water/electricity bill.

Now this process under Immigration Dept. (Located in Medina Khalifa)

First you have to collect the application form there and get typed in Arabic, then submit to the same place with necessary documents along with.

Basically you may need to attached :

1. Attested Marriage certificate

2. Letter from your Employer

3. Water / Electricity Bill

4. 6 months Bank Statements

But the Problem is, you are here for just two months and normally we have to submit 6 Bank Statements (Minimum 3 will work)with the application.

you can check this matter with the Immigration Dept.

Ask your company mandoop or company immigration officers , dear Simon, he will do this rp work for you. You need to furnish your docs to him. You don't need to personally chase after this process.

She can extend her visit visa for 3 months, and if the rp is done before that she doesn't need to exit.

With the eid holidays, expect some delay in the process itself.
