DRIVING TEST QATAR:
It was the Driving Test Day ( Qatar) for me. Passed the Signo, and L (Climb) . But failed the parking as I hit a pole at the left. I knew it could happen just before it happened. But had no idea about I could reverse little and re do the entering. So resultedly I hit the a barrier pole and Failed Mark. In the L also I had an issue, but managed myself to do it and the policeman didnt shout and passed me in that.

So its very important that we should be aware of what are the DO'S & NOT . Your Driving instructor will be giving you class but not the Essential ideas that we get from our own mistakes. Once you finish some of your class, tell your teacher to do driving yourself and make mistakes and learn yourself. Otherwise you will be waiting for their instructions always even while on test - for the teacher directions that is absolutely not possible then.

If you are lucky you will be getting the same car on which you were trained on. ( I was actually. While Testing also if you think you are doing test u cant finish it properly. Instead you think you are driving - you are to drive forward or you have to park, so look for details and do accordingly, sometimes you have to be not just obeying your teacher instruction already u got, but doing it on yourself - Driving / parking YOUR VEHICLE. As we learnt , parking you do only on forward gear. But if you have not turned properly , you will hit the pole as I did today, but correct your turning before you entering to the parking bay - Its not a problem. Because - you have to show you can clearly park your car. Not doing at once and like an expert.
1. Show you can tell the names of Signo,
2. Show you can do climb stop and proced & Reverse
3. Show you can park without hitting the surrounding objects & Reverse
4. Show you can handle your car properly on road especially :

Turning, Humb Bridge, Easy gear change, Good control on Clutch, Aware of your glass views, Give correct signal lambs, like things, You get license. Remember you have no fear to hit any parking bay poles on the road !!!!

I'm lucky.

This morning I went to the MOI Traffic Department to get my driving license.

All I need to do is provide copies of my passport, RP, Qatar ID Card and my home country Driver Licence.

I also brought along an "eye test" done yesterday (30 QR).

I engage one of the group standing outside the MOI Traffice Department for a fee of 350 QR inclusive of the 250 QR for the licence.

Sat at the waiting area while the guy goes to handle the administration and in half an hour, I got my Qatar licence.

Oh, you need to produce your orignial home country licence too, and a passport size photograph.

Your Instructor is supposed to train you how to do pocket parking which is very important sometimes in the roads also where you have no other option than doing a pocket parket in between two cars.
