Traffic Ticket

My 10 trip to Doha to visiting with a old friend.
Date: Nov.10-19 2011.

Just received a email from my rental car agency that informed me that I received 1 ticket on my rental car.
The the photo copy the agency sent me has two violation date Jan 21 2011 (loading a vehicle in a way that is danger to people) These are clearly not mine. But the third violation registered to this vehicle on a date while I was there has NO DESCRIPTION for the violation and they charged my credit card 6000 Q.R.

I can't believe it... Need Help and Advice....

And I thought I had the most wonderful and pleasant time while visiting there.

Qatar has become an unpleasant place to drive or take a taxi. I heard the police men are on a 10% commission basis now after their 120% raise. My friends have received every ticket you can think of with out any evidence with the exception a police man wrote down your license plate #. If you go dispute it they keep telling you to come back next week. There is no judge or traffic court to dispute the ticket. So your stuck with these astronomical tickets. I've heard of $10k for a signal light turning red. $6k for a yellow light. One guy received a ticket for not driving on top of the curve because he knew his camry would get damaged driving on top of the curve. Minimal price of the tickets are $500.

Taxi's.........I always get ripped off! My friend got charged $150 one way from City Centre to the Souk. I wish the Karma TAXI would put a hidden camera in each car to see what their driver are up too.

indeed! if it were a red light violation, there must be photos taken from the radar. the other case being a policeman taking ur car number at the red light.

I you have already paid it, you can ask the photos from the traffic, so you would remember those violations that you have, some of camera's on the road are hidden some are not.

So next time dude, be very careful.

The Citation : Loading a Vehicle in such a way as to be dangerous etc.... usually refers to Speeding Violation!Funny how this is used to refer to Speeding Ticket
