Can anybody share their experiance in travelling with Fly Dubai with your family. In my case I am travelling with my two kids and I wonder whether there will be any one to assist if I need with the baby.
Is there any other way in applying for UAE visa other than Fly Dubai?
the airline staff of fly dubai were very helpful when i travelled to qatar with my 2 yr old son. Very cooperative! I personally prefer it to emirates esp on such a short flight!
I fly them every month going back and forth for work. They're not fancy, but basic and fast. Sometimes the flights are slightly delayed, and make sure you're at the airport at least an hour and a half in advance-- they once wouldn't let me board because I turned up 56 minutes before the flight instead of a fully hour. If you want to check any bags make sure you pay for them when you book the ticket; then, it's cheap. if you wait till you get to the airport, it's pricer. Carry on luggage if at all possible.
Oh, and buy snacks, water, whatever before boarding: on the flight they do have some sandwiches adn stuff, but it's pricey.
Fly Dubai goes to Terminal 2 in Dubai, which is One of the Worst Airports Ever. It's crowded, and there are limited options for food and drink. But, it is tiny so getting through the airport itself is pretty speedy.
Fly Dubai is a basic, no frills way to get to Dubai. It is basically like riding a bus. No, no one will be your personal concierge to help you with anything so you may want to choose another airline, although for such a short flight I am not sure if there would be extra assistance anyway. In any case, be prepared for getting yourself and your family on and off buses, which take you to the plane, which you are then expected to walk up (and down when you get there). I have three kids, one is an infant, and we've used them twice, once with only me and the infant. I guess it depends on your definition of help, but I didnt expect nor receive any extra attention or assistance except for one time and that was from a fellow passenger, not the flight attendants.
you can contact agents in Dubai itself who will apply on your behalf..i think they charge around 450 to 700 riyals per visa if you are visiting.
I traveled by fly dubai twice and it was pretty fast check in. The plane space is as you would expect for the prices, nothing is free, but i suppose if you have a baby you can expect cabin crew to help.

Fly Dubai is a great airline.
But remember, you will get only for what you paid for!
