Interactive Athletes & Science Exhibit
The Athletes and Science exhibition is being held in front of Al Kout Fort in Souq Waqif (its the large temporary building in the parking area). Organized by the Qatar Museums Authority, Qatar Olympic and Sports Museums and the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Switzerland, it provides a look at science and sport.
It's interactive which means the kids (and adults) have a lot of fun testing their reflexes, cycling in Alpine conditions, and sprinting against Bolt's reaction time. You can also get a body fat readout (maybe not so fun...).
There are also exhibits that show advances in material science (think better snowboards) and how technology and science is used to improved performance.
Overall, it is a great way to spend an hour and learn something new. And its free!
It's open Saturday to Thursday from 8am to 12pm and then 3pm to 9pm. Friday from 3pm to 9pm.
