Cost of living for a family
Dear All,
We are Sri Lankans and my husband wishes to work in QR and take me n 8month baby along..
1. How much is the cost of living and how much of a salary and benifits should he demand for?
2. Taking us along first or should he first save some n then take us there is better?
3. What are the formalities to take us later or can you'rl advice us on expenses for a family iving in QR?

I here since 2007 & from Sri Lanka. This My Succession according my Experience.
1.This Depend on your Life Style.
If Its Simple these costs per Month
a. Accommodation - 2500QR - 3500QR
(1Bath room,Separate Kitchen,1 Room,Living Room)
c.Groceries & Food 1000 - 2000
d.Clothes & other thingd - 1000 - 2000
2. This depend on How your Husband Get Offer. If its with Family Accommodation With All Facility its fine.
If he get only money for accommodation then he need time to find flat for the Budget.Then You Come Later Better.
Also if he get Visa for Wife & family you can come anytime.
If His Offer At least 10000QR is enough to Start Living here easy.But Still its 5000 - 10000Qr you can not Come as husband sponsorship.Then He have to Find Visa here for you.
Adriana, does he have a job offer to come to Doha.
Please remember that for your husband to be eligible to get a family visa, to bring you and your child here, he should be drawing a salary of qar 10,000/month.
