my son who is 2 y/o and i are under the sponsorship of my husband, we arrived her 12/20/2011 and tomorrow we will be having our medical because we want to extend our stay, is it too late yet? will my son have same medical as mine? i'm new here pls. bear with me. thanks!
Friendlyme, I beg to disagree with your comment that the OP has one month to take a medical exam. It should be within the early few weeks so as to anticipate any complication if there is such as failing the medical or the completion of the original stay falls on a non-working day. Precisely now that they advise to take the medical within the first week (as much as possible). It's better to be on the safe side rather than inviting complications.
IT'S NOT TOO LATE. YOU HAVE ONE MONTH FROM THE DATE OF YOUR ARRIVAL (12/20/2011) TO TAKE A MEDICAL. YOU MUST GO TO MEDICAL COMMISSION AND PAY 200 RIYALS EACH AT THE BANK OUTSIDE IF YOU DON'T HAVE E-CASH CARD. THE RESULT WILL BE RELEASED IN THE NEXT 2 DAYS. THEY WILL GIVE YOU A RECEIPT BEARING A NUMBER TO FOLLOW-UP ONLINE. KEEP THE RECEIPT AND THEN GO TO IMMIGRATION TO EXTEND YOUR VISA FOR ANOTHER 5 MONTHS (QR200/MONTH) FOR QR1,000 CHARGE.
it's not yet late, just in time. and medical for visit visa extension doesn't need appointment. just go to the medical commission and follow the procedures there. for the children, you just pay then they will ask you to proceed to another room for validation but no medical procedure like xray or blood sampling will be required.
a week from arrival time but if you have your schedule tomorrow, be early. Result is I think 3 days (which you will pick-up yourselves). For adult, it will be chest x-ray and they will extract blood sample for blood analysis. As for your child of two years, I am not aware. Wait for the other comments.
