Driving from Wakra to West Bay at peak hour

Is there someone on the forum who lives in Wakra and drive to work in Doha everyday, particularly to areas such as West Bay or closeby? I found a really nice affordable villa in Wakra, which I and my wife liked a lot; however my concern is that I work in West Bay (Doha) and I have to start work at 7:30 AM. When will I need to leave Wakra to reach West Bay by the required time? Apart from the traffic, is Wakra a nice place to live in terms of access to shopping, restaurants, banks and any recreational facilities or not? Are there any current residents of Wakra with the same circumstances that I am on this forum who are willing to help me out?

Thanks in anticipation

I go from Airport .. and sometimes i use the new highway (shamal highway) that connects me to D-Ring Road.. and it also takes you to wakrah .... The road is very busy in the morning ..but i have noticed its worst if you are coming from wakrah (around 7.45 am).. so i dont think its a good idea to take this road using this road when coming from wakrah

but issue will be the traffic build up from Ras Abu Aboud Interchange till the Theathre R/A on the Corniche. Take 15~20 mins to cover this distance.

GodFather.

Shouldn't be a problem if you take the new Airport by pass to the Corniche.

It may not be as bad as you thing - getting from Wakra to WestBay has never been easier (see Aimee above)- I guess the only place you are going to hit traffic is on the Corniche leading upto the National Theatre r/a.

I also live in Wakrah and really enjoy the area. Our branch manager travels to Wakrah from Al Fardan past Villagio via the highway. Turning right on the Barwa Village intersection takes you directly to Doha passing via Corniche taking you to West Bay.

To work in West bay by living in Wakra will be a very bad option, if it is for a day or two or a month or two ok, but commuting Wakra to westbay and back, if I am in your shoes definitely dont take.morning some how u reach on the evenings, especially near Airport and Parachute R/A you really get bugged.

This is my opinion
