What is your real nationality? If you are an Indian or Pakistani, you are walking into a trap.Accommodation is a big problem for junior level HMC doctor. You can live only in close by areas(expensive areas) for the sake of emergency calls and then the whole sorry story will start.

As a woman,if you go under the hmc sponsorship, they may give accomodation only to you and not necessarily a family accomodation.they should agree to let you sponsor your family,ie. your husband.

have you already taken the offer?

Your problem is still not clear, other than the fact that you are looking for specific kind of accomodation. If you dont mind my asking, how are you managing your accomodation right now? this 17K is an additional income to your husband's, and it is a good amount for a woman to get.

Moreover, since you are on your husband's sponsorship, you always have the freedom of leaving this job. Situations can be tough, but sometimes we need to compromise.

Wish you all the best.

Thanks guys.

I guess u'll agree with me that we left home to save more money and have better standard of living...all the offers I got for decent accommodation are 9k+ and this is purely personal preference so what's left is not enough to meet our savings limit ,to cover mortgage at home and so on...anyways the issue is that everyone else in HMC is getting accommodation but am denied cause under husbands sponsorship.now I asked to be under their sponsorship but still they said I will not get it...really pissed off !!!

Thanks for the reply and I agree with most of u it's good Salary but yet not meeting our needs if accommodation not included ,people have different situations so plz be more considerate in your replies..thanks again.

mccoy is right, with 17K and your husband's salary, you should easily be able to afford accomodation.hmc provides accomodation only if you are under their sponsorship.what are the other allowances they are offering?

How could you be in dilemma if both of you (husband) are receiving income. With your salary offer alone is enough to rent/lease a flat for 2/3 br. It shouldn't be a problem at all if you disburse you income wisely.

Well, I think you're going to have to take some of your salary and rent a flat!
