Medical Technologist Job Opportunaties

Hi, Salam, NiHao, Hola. etc etc. ^^

So, really interested in knowing about the job field/availability for Medical Technologists in Qatar. Do they prefer a high level of experience? If so, how many years? What degree level(bachelors, masters, pHD) is more prevalent? What is salary there?

I probably should give a little background about myself to make comments more helpful and clear to my situation. ^^ So, I am a female attending University of MD, Baltimore to obtain a Bachelors Degree in Medical and Research Technology. I am a United States citizen. I have about 1 years experience in working in a college Laboratory.

Thanks! :D

Really appreciate the helpful info.

Oooh Thank you. ^^ That helps a little more. Would you say the Job Market is high in the Biomedical field there? And how many years of experience is required? I think John Hopkins is a well known Hospital around the world... does it have any precedence over in Qatar if you have worked there a number of years?

Well simmie yes, some level of experience is deffy needed however there are hotpials here where u can work for free in exchange of what's equivalent to a certificate of 3 yrs experience like the medical training at HH hospital for example . Easy breezy!

A bachelor's degree with no experience won't get you anywhere in Qatar, I'm afraid. If you have a specific skill and/or certification and at least three years work you might start looking at an entry level job but these usually don't pay very much. Remember you are in competition with a lot of people from countries that will well-underbid you on salary.
