The problem with the buses here is that they are very less, for the number of people who may want to use it., the number of routes are very less, hence you end up with crowded buses consisting mainly of men who have been toiling hard at their workplaces.

These men don't see women in their daily life, as they would do back in their home town, so any woman getting up on a bus will be stared at.

If they increase the buses, the routes, you may just find more families wanting to use the public transport syste.

Thanks elegance, bcos your question was a bit misleading, infact was not sure if it was a question.

Those people who raise their eyebrows when you say that you have travelled by the bus, should be reminded that luxury does not remain all the time. It's there today, it can disappear tomorrow.

It's people who have not seen the difficult side of life who are the ones who can't understand this ie changing buses to reach a destination, walking a distance to catch a bus, in heat, rain, wind, missing a bus, then spending money on an alternate means of transport (a taxi or rickshaw) because you need to get somewhere on time.

Alright..Sorry for creating confusion..

I love going by Karwa wherever possible. I have bought the smart card for myself and my family.

Whenever I mention that I went somewhere by Karwa bus I am met by blank stares and raised eyebrows..Why?

I love going by Karwa. It is clean. Mostly always not crowded. And ladies are courteously treated.

It encourages green living, especially in a country where everone almost owns their own car..

So if possible let us especially ladies hop into the bus and make a statement...

Thanks...(Please take it easy..It is a light hearted post)

Decent = ???

I've been in Karwa bus 3 times already, and I don't feel that people should think this is not for 'everyone'

For sure there are a lot of things needed to be IMPROVED in Karwa, but when Karwwa meets standards like in Singapore or Dubai, I bet 'other' people will use their service.

Things I think why Karwa is not for everyone

- Bus is full of male passengers,

- Most of the time during late afternoon, buses are jam packed, the smell is not good,

- Bus takes too long to arrive, if you are waiting in a bus stop

- Some buses are dirty,

I hope that they can improve Karwa Bus/Taxi service better, really soon!
