Car Accident Insurance Claims

Dear friends,
My car got damaged front & back bumber by an accident last week. One car hit me from back in the traffic signal ( red signal )and my car hit on the front car. I got the police paper and the my car is claimed from the insurance of the car hits my car. I went to the Insuracne company and they asked me mobile number. Later I got the message that I have to take the car to one grarage .... & pay 40% of the spare parts. My car is 2009 model Prado. I have a doubt why the insurance of the person who committed the mistake will not cover the full repair of my car. It is not at all my mistake and the police report also syas the person who hit the car from behind did mistake.
Please some one can clarify my queries....thanks

First you must contact/call your Insurance company, you must provide the police record, the estimara, the registration of your car. Then they will ask you to go to their office with your car and they will fix it and pay for the repair, the process may take a week or so, depends for how badly your car damage is.
this is not a mistake but how insurance works here. no matter if you have comprehensive insurance, 3rd party insurance, your mistake or not..you have to pay from 20% up to 50% depending on the model year of your car.

This insurance rules is really crazy, waste of money and seamless cheating to the customer.
It seems a car or rules of Govt. says if a car is more than 3 years you have to pay or participate a 40% for any type of accident weather its your mistake or not. as same thing happened to me. so I have no choice than to bring my Car in a Garage elsewhere.
I had the same experience (alkhaleej ins co) and i am told by the ins. co that irrespective of whether we have a full ins. or 3rd party ins., we must pay some percentage of the repair cost as per govt. rules. I am also awaiting some learned advice from experienced QLrs,
If its not your fault you don't have to pay. I suggest you go back to the insurance company and sort it out..
