Dubai to Doha

Hello people, I'm new to QL and looking for some friendly advice.

I'm currently living in Dubai (been here since July 2011) and in a few months I may be relocating to Doha.

I am quite apprehensive as Doha will be very different from Dubai, right?

In Dubai I like to scuba dive - is there a club in Qatar? I love the nightclubs in Dubai too - they will be dearly missed as I'm sure Doha's nightlife isn't too great, is it?

Sorry for all the questions, I guess I'm just looking for some advice on whether relocating is a wise decision or not.

Thanks!

Doha is very different, much smaller than Dubai for sure and VERY quiet during the weekends....

The True Fact is all have left their country and come to work in this part of the world for better monitary benifits. Now the choice of Dubai and Doha arises only when you are offered a similar package at eaither places but when some one is moving from Dubai to Doha because of job compelsion. If you are looking for night life better make you way out of this region-God bless these desperate ones.

I dont know why people keep complaining and comparing Qatar to Dubai...if you like dubai so much stay there, Qatar has a charm of its own and if you got the money they have the entertainment for you.

Lisa, no worries.. those are the GUYS who say, it's boring here.. don't believe them. If you want, you will have the invitation for outing every single day. Bars, dancing, restaurants, beaches, diving, yachts.. all is here.. moreover, if you like the art, theatre and classic music, Doha is much better then Dubai in this department. Doha brings great shows and performances from all over the world, and guess what.. it's either free or very reasonable price! Where else on the earth you can have it??

You will find the beauty of Doha soon, and once you like it, you will feel really happy here!

Khanan...choice varies based on interest..what are great for you might not be good for others, and as for Dubai's people night life sure going to be boring..
