Does anyone have any good contact details for companies/individuals who are able to make good quality (but reasonably priced!) furniture to order. Am not looking for anything fancy or technical, merely some very plain shelving and a desk for home (but of specific sizes so that they fit where I want to put them). Should be a relatively easy task for someone in the know and with the right materials, but can no longer face trawling round shops full of rather "ornate" pieces

Hm..I can relate with you. Recently my talented cleaner created a strong, spacious "attic" in the corridoor for me from "scrap" wood, etc. But he painted it the exact colour of the ceiling and it looks so good and holds my huge Xmas tree box and lots of occasionally used stuff. And it costs me 130 Riyals for labour and material..Love it..
