Education Consulting for US. Ideas needed.

Educational Resources
By Educational Res...

Hi Everyone,

I am representing an Education Consultancy based in Minnesota, USA. We provide Consultancy services and Admissions assistance to students wishing to study in the U.S.

We work individually with each student to assess their requirements such as educational budget, degree interests, qualifications, career goals and so forth and assist with matching them up with relevant Universities and colleges catering to their criteria.

Would like your feedback on whether there may be a demand for this service in Doha? Please provide your feedback with ideas ans suggestions.

And if so, how much would you be pay, if you were to avail the following services:

1) Consulting: (Covering collecting student info, researching relevant Universities, providing guidance to student on Admissions process and requirements).

2) Complete Admissions Package paperwork.

Your feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Thanks for taking an interest and providing some kind of feedback at least. I appreciate the effort.

On doing some research, I've come up with the following suggested prices:

1 Consulting (One time session, verbally guiding student, explaining the whole Admissions Process and required Paperwork involved, answering general questions).

Suggested Fees: QR 200

2 Assisting them with complete Admissions Paperwork, submitting and processing:

Suggested Fees QR 500

Please advise if this sounds reasonable.

Thanks

Agreed that there are educational job fairs here that are free. These job fairs exist in almost every economically sound country.

Universities taking part in these fairs enjoy are normally globally recognized and enjoy close to Ivy league statuses with College fees costing a FORTUNE and pretty competitive admissions. Handing out free brochures or answering random questions at education fairs isn't the same as what education consultancies do.

Our aim here as I mentioned earlier, is to cater to interested candidates on an individual basis. We will work with each candidate to enroll them at universities suited to their budget and academic qualifications. Studying in the U.S doesn't have to cost a fortune.

Students with a CGPA of 2.0 equivalent of a grade C can enroll at a relatively good college in the States.

If I could get more feedback for suggested Consultancy and Full Admissions Assistance pricing, it would be highly appreciated.

Thank you all so much for the feedback you're provided so far. This is great:)

Agree with marycatherine regarding the general quality of Qatari students

But if you can find some university which can provide a degree even to not-so-good students, you have a great market here

There are already university "fairs" being done here by prominent US (and UK and other western countries) universities. They don't charge anything - in fact they pay to come to Qatar and the GCC. And these institutions provide similar services to yours as to the tertiary institutions here in Qatar.

All of the tertiary institutions here have liaisons with Western universities (again, free of cost to students), the Qatari government also provides similar services, free of cost.

Don't think there's much of a paying market here unless you are looking for students who 90% of the time would not be successful in a Western educational setting - those mentioned above usually screen and advise for students who have a reasonable chance of success.

Trying to gather the demand and interest level for this service first. If that is promising, we may hire marketing executives to promote our services as we're new to Qatar's market. Thanks for inquiring.

Thanks for the feedback. We send students all over the U.S but our base itself is in Minnesota..

Wasn't sure about the Qatari market as there is an Education City here already.

Thanks for the price quote :)

yes there is a demand for it. i know many qatari studying in the US, but none in minessota: they are mainly in ohio, NY and texas.

for the services provided above, i's say u can ask for 4000 to 7000 QR or 1.000$ to 1500$
