Please note that I followed below steps -

1. Get Birth Certificate from Hamad

2. Go to Your Embassy and apply for Passport

3. After you get passport go to Immigration with following documents -

Passport copy and original for child

Birth Certificate

Passport and Visa copy for you and your husband

Marriage Certificate

4. 1st year visa is free 2nd year onwards 400 per year.

There is no charge for RP for a new born....in fact there is no charge for RP for children less than 3 years. For a baby born in Qatar...you will have to first get the birth certificate issued from SHC after recieving the immunization ( usually green) card while you are getting discharged from hospital. this may take upto 4 days. After that apply for a passport..once you get the passport you will need a letter from the employer( If the father is employed in this country and earns QR 10000/- then he can be the sponsor) or else the mother can apply for sponsoring the child if she is working and earning 10k. if both of them are not earning that muchthen you can get salarycertificate from both the employers and then go to the immigartion dept and fill the RP form and thenmeet a captain there and after getting the permission you can stamp the RP.However if the father is already eligible for a family visa the get a letter from a company and go to immi dept and get the RP printed in the pp. Hope this helps
