Recession has helped push "everything" out of wedlock. It costs less to stay in company accomodation and enjoy the benefits of a "marriage" during weekends. I hear stories of poor men paying for the grocery and expenses of the female during the weekend just to have "fun" during weekend.

Since press tv is getting banned in UK and Germany its just getting more popular

Since America killed Anwar al awlaki without any charges his lectures have got more popular, it just gets attention.

Brit is this also true for banning sex outside of wedlock, which has led to increase is so called illicit relationships?

People here have no respect or fear for the law at all. The demand for such relationship is a all time high and a middle aged white male is the perfect target for such relationships. Where as illicit relationships between westerners is hardly ever reported but the poor old driver and maid are always in the papers. Not to mention so many of people from the same country living together as they were married.

Bible used to be so precious in Saudi. People used to wrap it in different nonsuspicious ways while they went for prayer meetings with it or ask the lady to carry it in or out of their Abaya..Both Bible and meetings were banned, but both went on for fervoured folks.

I think restricting something is what makes us humans want it even more. Books on the other hand nah, not everyone would like to pick up a book and read unless of course it was something classified that we are not supposed to read.

Definitely. I noticed this in Saudi. Since Alcohol and Porn were illegal, people tended to go overboard for both items. I asked friends / colleagues and they agreed that it was in much higher quantities than back home :o)
