Hi All,

I have been offered a job working for construction consultancy firm with a senior position. The offer is an all inclusive package of QRY 28k monthly salary with 5 working days.

I am currently working in Abu Dhabi with a salary of AED 18k plus free accommodation and a car shared with another 2 colleagues but working for 6 days a week.

My concern is being my current work which should be able to have another 2 years to be completed which providing me a job security without worrying of termination. However, I am not sure the one in Qatar. Salary wise will be approximate 3 - 4k in gap between the job I am having now compared with the one in Qatar.

Question, if you are in my position, should I proceed for the acceptance to the Qatar offer as this is the only offer that the Client in Qatar will provide without further negotiation?

What will be the rough estimation that I am going to spend for a month (an studio within Doha + 1.8cc car + grocery + others expenses)?

Appreciate for the advices.

for senior position 28 K is less, i dont know what will be ur actual designation,

~if u r alone and no family and u only require a decent place to live a good studio aprtment will cost u around 2500 to 5500 QR (choice will be urs what type of accomodation u want)

~cars are available here (2nd hand) also ur choice what to buy, and secondly mostly companies in qatar provide transportaion atleast from work to home( iguess u shud ask them abt transportation)..for else qatar has taxis name of karwa (bit expensive to use daily)

~grocery for a single person for a month 2000QR are more than enough lavishly that i mean...

~job security is something very imp these days but as ealier it is said who knows what happens tomo ...this is something u have to decide...either relocate or stick to ur current job

~ hope i have helped u

check the cost of accommodation on QL and you will know the answer.... Also, social life in Doha is not comparable with what AD offers.
