Visit Visa transfer to RP

Hi, I have brought my family on visit visa here this month, now I want to apply for the residence permit, can someone help me with the step by step procedure for the same. i am getting different answers from different people.
Also my current salary below 8000QR,change visit visa to RP possible or not.

Probably not possible. Minimum base salary 10,000.

Hi exotic huntress, your husband applied online in MOI site, what about the docuemnts required presented..

visit the MOI website. I changed my visit visa to RP my husband applied it in MOI site and had the print out. I presented the printed application during the finger printing and at the immigration dept. for my passport sticker and i.d. But ask first if you are qualified for RP.. but if you are working in the company ask the HR maybe they have liaison officer to assist you in working the papers in immigration.
