Well one aspect of being human is our ability to choose/monitor our own behavior more specifically, our capacity to return good for evil, love for hate, dignity for indignity.
Now based on that simple humanistic theory of right and wrong. I strongly believe that celebrating the death/ killing of any member of the human race is a violation of human dignity.
MT well said. As a spectator and sometimes based on our affinities it is easy to lecture around about what is moral and what is immoral.
asterix, so why bother? If a photo of his dead body were displayed you would just claim it was a fake, wouldn't you?

Well I think the Americans and person across the world who lost their loved ones that day, have every right to choose to celebrate the anniversary of OBL's death. Just as they have no choice but to mourn the death and anniversary of their loved ones until the day they die.
only time will prove, but apparently might is right.
Personally to majority of us Sri Lankans the day the war ended and the terrorist chief killed was truly a joyful day but I would find the idea of celebrating his death per say kinda ghoulish though some folks feel no shame in doing so,loudly. I do understand though why people would do so. Guess everyone has their way of expressing their joys and sorrows. So who are we to judge. The fact of the matter is just like when a good person dies people mourne their passing in different ways, when a wicked person goes people will show their joy in different ways to. A good example being the death of Muhammar Khaddaffi. Many of us found the whole displaying of his rotting corpse a very disgusting site, though we felt no sadness in his death. Yet his ex subjects surely thought otherwise. Ultimately it's all about human emotions!
Depends which side of the fence you are or just a spectator.
There must have been many people like OBL throughout the history of mankind; So we will need to book all 365 days of the year for these kind of celebration....
