Rent Deposit Return Rule
Dear QL friends, please suggest what shall I do to get my deposit back in the situation I am currently in....
I have been working in Qatar for last 4 years, staying in a two bedroom FF apartment near matar Qadeem, paying 7500QR per month.
owner sold the building last year and rent was also revised from 7500 to 6000. I had paid deposit of 7500 in advance when I initially taken the apartment.
I finished my job contract last month and wrapped up from Qatar, I handed over keys to the landlord manager and cleared elctricity as well, handed over the clerance paper as well. He kept me delying day after day to return deposit cheque, the last day when I was supposed to fly back home he denied ruthlessly to return the deposit cheque of 7500 riyal knowing that I am leaving country that night and asked me to do what ever I could ....I never expected this and had to leave just like that. Have no close friend there who can followup for me to get my deposit money back.
Can any one suggest what can I do while being outside country to get my due money back. God Bless !!
The landlord is Qatari and nice old man but the admin manager "egyption" is the one playing tricks. He told me earlier that the owner approved to return my deposit money 7500 riyal and I may come to collect next day and the next day I went he denied. I suspect he has taken money from the landlord and kept it to himself. I am even ready to share 20% with any QL friend who can help me getting my due money.
since you are already out of the country, there is nothing you can do about that. you cannot even ask your friend to get the deposit because you are the one who made a deal with the landlord and not your friend...

2. Your freinds
3. Your company PRO
4. Directly talk to owner
5. Which nationality is that man.. and get a frind in that nationlity and talk
6. If you have given checque.. then you can easily call the bank " and tell stop payment "
