Parallel visa processing

I've a situation for which I would request your advise
My wife's family visa application has been rejected. After negotiations with the Captain, I have a interview date after one month.
Meanwhile, can I process another parallel visa ( probably a Tourist one) and bring my wife till the time my earlier application gets approved.
the meeting will explain only to you the reason of rejection. Yes, it's still 'rejected'. You cannot walk in, the schedule is set on the system and your records will be available on the interviewers' desk on the said schedule.

though i have an interview date, the status is still showing rejected in the system. on asking the immigration folks they also termed it as rejected.
Does the application status change when there is an interview date or it remains 'rejected'
Another question, can I walk in for the interview at any date ( since no one records it...i guess)
if your family RP application is pending sure you can apply for family visit and you can do follow up the RP once they reach Qatar and easy to transfer from visit to RP
I would suggest that you wait for the result of the meeting. If still rejected, then apply for Family Visit Visa. If you have all the requirements available, you could have the Visa in less than a week. Only Family Visit Visa can be directly applied and converted to Residence Visa without exiting. Other type of visas will require your wife to exit the country. Be wise...

Why not bring your wife on a Family Visit Visa, it can be transferred to Family Visa once you get the Approval.
If only a matter of 1 month, why process a tourist visa. It can be done, however MOI will detect that there is a pending issue on your wife's current passport. However it's only you who can decide, not us....Just my 1 dirham opinion
