Medical Leave
I am recently gone thru an operation (NOT an accident case) HAMAD HOSPITAL gave me 25 days Leave Approval.
Company is telling they will Pay for 14day Full Salary and for the rest of the days Half Salary... as per the Qatar Labour Law.
Is such law there???

Q6: What are the rules for sick leave?
You’re only entitled to a sick leave three months after date
of employment.
You need to provide a medical certificate from a doctor
approved by your employer to obtain the right to a sick
leave.
You receive full payment if sick leave is not more than two
weeks
If your sick leave is more than two weeks, you receive half of
your salary for another four weeks
If the sick leave is more than the period stated above, the
leave will be without payment until you report back to work,
resign, or terminate your service for medical reasons.
yes that is true. hamad hospital are giving only 14 days medical leave with pay. since they give you 25 days medical leave. 14 days of that will be considered with pay leave while the other is without pay...
Yes, first 14 days will be paid on full pay scale and the balance days up to 30days will be calculated on your basic and thereafter it will on "Without Pay".
