My wife resident visit visa, entry date is on August 12, 2012.

Is it possible to extend the entry date, because he cannot come on that date?

YOU CAN ASK FOR AN EXTENSION BUT IT DEPEND ON THE CAPTAIN APPROVAL OR ELSE YOU HAVE TO APPLY AGAIN THE SAME WAY YOU DID BEFORE...

it is written as residency visit visa (visa type). actually it was approved last May 5 2012 and it is written entry before Aug. 12, 2012.

my question is if i can ask for extension (let say she will come in August 30) if it is possible.

base on my experience the expiry date of the visa starts on the issuance date and must be used before the expiry date, otherwise you have to re-apply her visa after the expiry. they cannot issue another visa if you still have a valid visa for her. maybe you can ask the immigration yourself to extend or to re-issue changing the expiry date of the visa.

The Date from which you got the Resident visa, from that date you are having 3 months to call her. within 3 months you shoud call her. but still confirm once again from Immigration department or your Office PRO for exacat condition.
