How many months can stay a person outside of Qatar who is having permanent family visa

Hi,
My wife has a valid family residence in Qatar until end of May 2013. She went to India in February 2012 for delivery. Wife and new born baby are planning to come Qatar in September 2012.If wife is coming back in September, she will complete 7 months outside the Qatar. I understand that if the person (who is having a valid residency) stay out of Qatar more than 6 month, their visa will be expired
Is there any way for stay more than 6 moths by paying any fee at Qatar Immigration? Please update me

You have to go to immigration office and pay QR500 for the extension of her return visa by another 6 months but she must return to doha before the date she left doha.

Yes! you have to pay some fee I think around QR. 500 I am not sure in immigration and they will extend it up to one year. for more details please visit immigration.
