Customs/ port charges
Hi,
I'm shipping a few boxes of personal effects to Doha, to arrive after we get there and collect from the port. Does anyone have any idea what the customs/ port charges would be? It's only 5 boxes or clothes, books, toys, bedding etc.
I've tried contacting the Qatar customs authorities but didn't get through?
Any ideas on charges or anyone with the correct number, it would be appreciated - thanks!
Can't use a shipping company which offers door to door as they want you to send a minimum or 20 cu foot, which is more than we are sending (just 5 boxes or 13 cu. foot), so the only one we can find is one that will accept our small amount of belongings and only delivers to port, not to door. So does anyone know what customs/ port charges will be?
oh, and you only have to provide a letter of authorisation for the shipping company to clear customs on your behalf
if you use a good mover, they will take care of customs clearance and will charge you upfront for it
