All cars what available these days in India, are much more hyped and stylish and also costlier than what we get here in Doha or elsewhere in the middle east. Nissan Sunny advert, as most of you must have seen in TV, they say its not a car its a CAAAAR. But over here it doesnt look like a car, the shape in more right, comparably TIIDA is far better. Earlier sunny was somewhat better than the present version. Who are planning to buy sunny i should suggest should better go for Renault. rgds.

bryanchaaban can you tell us a bit more about the engines of both cars?

I actually rented this car in Doha for almost 3 months. For a small car, it is quite spacious, especially in the back. Really not a bad car at all.

My main issues were:

- I felt the engine was not powerful enough.

(Tida is stronger)

- Felt that brake and accelerator pedals were not

properly placed.

Not all Sunnys are the same. In some markets Nissan Sunny is actually a Renault Samsung SM3

The orginal Nissan Sunny (Nissan Datsun) stopped in 2005

"Colt45 said hmm ...

do you drive any of those?"

Yes Colt45 - Pappu pager drives all of those.

Sunday morning he drives his boss to work in the Merc, then boss's kids to school in the Yukon, and later takes the boss's missus to the mall in the Lexus. Afternoon he sneaks out with the maid in the trailblazer to city centre food court for kofta sandwich and orange juice.

Drove Sunny in India couple of months back, its pretty good actually. Much better than the one they sold here, don't know where they made those.

Hi,

I don't advise you to get a Sunny, or even a Tiida. The 2012 Sunny is rarely seen in Doha, there must be a good reason for that. I had a Tiida H/B manual. I loved the AC, engine performance was not bad, but I hated the brakes. It came with ABS, but when you hit the brakes at 60 Km/H and the car slides a long distance, this is not ABS. I had an icoinc Mercedes 190E 1993 model that had proper ABS.

One more thing, the ride in my Tiida was not comfortanle, the suspensions were so stiff and hard, It makes you feel every bump on the road

I assume the Sunny is in the 50,000 price range. I recommend you check the Yaris, City and Lancer.

Good luck

Pappu then how can you say it's not a good car? Do you drive a Sunny 2012? Saying something is good without the real experience about it is something imaginary..
