URGENT HELP REQUIRED !! Dependent with 10 years back TB now cured Visa issue
I got a very nice job in Doha and in process of getting my Education validated. As per the process i need to get my medical done. I have only one dependent which is my wife but In yr2000 my wife got diagnosed with tuberclosis for which she took the complete medicine for 9 moths and she got cured and has been perfectly fine and working from past 6 years with bank of america and currently wih american axpress. During the yr2010 we were planning for our baby and since we told doctor about the past history of tuberclosis ,the doctor agaun advised the medicine for 9 months just to avoid any complications. I have all the prescripions records which shows that she has completed that course. I can also source a medical certificate for the same from the doctor from where we were getting the treatment done. This was a latent problem 10 yrs back and not something new.
I have talked to lot of people but have got mixed responses from everyone.
Here is the list if queries i have
- is the medical test a mandatory requirement for all the dependants ?
- my wife will not be working in doha and will stay at home .. house wife also need to get mwdical done ?
- is there a provision by which i can get the medical certificates from india and submit in qatar for some exception ?
- is there a provision where in depepndants are allowed to stay even if they have past medical history of tuberclosis and which has been cured?
- do the qatar immigrations deport the person even if he/she has past medical history ?
- is there some other visa category for these cases ?
- Cant she ever come and settle with me in Doha ?
I JUST NEED A SOLUTION TO THIS , I CANT LEAVE MY WIFE ALONE IN INDIA ... PLEASE HELP
In Qatar I was TB in 2010. I was treated for 9 months in Qatar. In 2011 was completely cured. Since then, I worked 6 years in Qatar. Went to India in 2017. The doctor gave me the certificate after treatment. And then I got back to Qatar. I got medical and unfitted. I was told that tomorrow I will go to the Medical Commission and get it. Now what can I do to help my sir.
I am a bit relaxed now with your answers ... I will get the Checkup done in home country. Can anyone tell me the list of Medical tests to be done ?
Also i will apply for my RP in next 3 months and my wife will come at that time

What kind of Tuberculosis she had? I mean, pulmonary (in lungs) or extra pulmonary (areas other than lungs)?
If extra pulmonary TB which got completely cured , then no problem. If pulmonary, there can be marks of old lesions on chest X-ray.In that case they will reassess her. They will deport only if it is active TB.Dont worry .
@BB India...
If there is no symptom or fully recovered, she can come here. Hope you are eligible for family status. If yes, do one thing, get her here. Within a couple of months time, she can go through the medical process.
In the medical process, if the result shows negative, you can submit the medical reports along with her qualifications (qualified persons have priority in this country)to the higher committee.
You can submit a letter to the committee along with the current report, previous records, certificate copies.
The format for the letter will be obtained from the medical commission where you go for medical. You have to get signed by the chief doctor in that application form for the statements are true.
The committee is on all Mondays and Thursdays. They will let you know the time/day to be present. If they are convinced, they will refer to Al Rumaila hospital. She has to go to many checkups to confirm its present or not.
It will take 7-10days time. In these period, the validity of the visa is expired not considered for any penalty.
Hope my message is clear.
Best of luck.
Note: Set your mind free for 15 days. You will simply loose your atleast 15days time running here and there inside the medical commission.
Cheers,
I agree with jameskgm. Have your wife take a medical check up first there in your country. It's important that she is all cleared by the test. Otherwise it's useless to get her if she is not medically fit. If she fails the medical test here by the Medical Commission she will be ineligible for residence visa processing and she will be deported.
Any one who intended to stay in qatar for more than one month must go through the medical checkup by qatar medical commission and that is a MUST. No need to worry about the past history If she clear the current test.
