ok thankx to evryone who answered without feeling the need to be rude. :) i wont be going to a pet store, might just wate and see if i find the one i want advertsed. and no i havent been here long and dont really know much about how things work here that is why i asked.

for a kitten. Just check around garbage bins. The ones in QAWS have shelter already and the ones in pet shops are not treated well and might be sick (as some people here says), so better stay there till they die. Therefore simply check the garbage bins and you will find many kittens who need someone to take care of them.

to get the message across and believe me, you don't want the headache from these pet shops.

QAWS has a lot of cats waiting to be adopted.

Why don't you check out Cats in Qatar....they have lots of cats that needs foster homes. I used to foster 2 cats (Crista and Adu) and they're so adorable. You could foster a cat or two and once you're decided, you can adopt them.

Both organizations make sure that all the cats have medical records and healthy, well-fed, spayed/neutered (whatever the terminology) and giving a donation is wholeheartedly accepted.

Both has Facebook accounts and websites...

Many people post there about cats and kittens they have for adoption. Have a look on the time lines:-)

Adopt, don't shop.... Please!

I suspect you haven't been in Qatar for very long.

Those with more experience have experienced these pet shops and have in fact actively demonstrated outside them.

The choice is obviously yours.

well when u put it like that..... just dont like being told its people like me that keep bad things hapening. the whole money thing was uncalled for also. u wanna get ur point across how about say it in a decent way maybe people will understand you better.....

you're wasting money if you buy a cat/kitten from the pet shops.

Most often, these poor creatures are not fed properly, sick and by the time you get them, you'll be spending lots of money taking them to the vet, and eventually they will die.

We're telling you coz we know...but if you really want a headache...go ahead. Just dont come around moaning that you've been duped and fleeced by these pet shop owners.

Pet store Inspectors in this part of the world ... are you serious?

lol so i have no heart? i just know wat i want and cant seem to find it anywere so looking in a store maybe my only option. plus its not people like me that keep them open im not a pet store inspector, maybe they shud do there jo a lil better....

Buying a pet shows you've got money, adopting a pet shows you've got heart.

pet shops as they keep animals in cruel conditions.
