Its final - will be in Doha soon

I've signed across the line, resigned from my job in Singapore, and target to land in Doha 3rd week of Sept. Then brining the wife and three kids (7 , 5 and 3) end of november - hopefully introducing them to (relatively) pleasant weather.

I have had good advice from folks here on topics around med insurance, and housing. Am looking out for others with kids in the similar age group to network. Trying to build out contacts outside of work. Anyone interested please send me a pm or drop me a note here with your contacts.

It's a great place to live for a few years or even settle if you have a good retirement kitty.

Would love to connect and get the kids together- my gang should arrive in the last week of November. I'll pm you with our contacts once I reach Doha.

Hi

I'm new in Doha as well, just relocated from Dubai. We are a canadian family and I have 7 year old twins ( a boy and girl). I am very interested in finding playmates. We live in Abu Hammour area close to the Middleast International School, as we were unable to find availability in other schools.

Good luck with your move.

The plan is to get there and sort the school, we would be comfortable to home school them anyway, so not too worried about a place in school yet

What school will your children go to? This info will help narrow down people who your kids will socilise with. YOu can also look at things like Cub Scouts, Girl Guides/Scouts etc.
