Undies among most-forgotten items left on planes.
MELBOURNE: A traveller's underwear is among the list of bizarre items discovered in an aircraft, a survey has revealed.
Many airline passengers have left behind their underwear while de-boarding their flights, a new survey has revealed.
Flight comparison website Skyscanner conducted a poll and found that one third of the passengers surveyed had left behind items worth more than 100 dollars, including their cameras, iPads and gaming consoles, News.com.au reported.
Then there were five per cent of people who had left behind their passports or travel documents.
There were also five passengers who had left behind their wedding rings on the plane.
Other items that have been left behind include false teeth and trombone and once an underwear.
Dave Boyte from Skyscanner has advised airline passengers to keep a close eye on their valuables.
"My advice is to keep your passport, phone and wallet safe - these are the most important items," he added.

but was able to get it back after I informed the lost and found section in Doha airport.
But when I left my cellphone in Qatar Airways - and informed the airport (not Doha airport)- was not able to get it anymore.
You should have followed up with .. them ... for headphone.
Books and newspapers, and food shouldn't be on that list as most are left behind intentionally.
Bose quiet comfort headphones. $300. The most expensive thing I've left onboard while disembarking. :(
