Yes, here is. I'm Japanese.

"have never seen them live" ...sounds like endangered species... but there are more than 1,000 Japanese living in Doha.

If it's first contact, normally Japanese treat other persons politely, I think. Politeness is an important sense in Japanese culture.

To answer your question on how they treat others, well they treat other the same way they treat their own countrymen. They are very fair for all and well DISCIPLINED.

So far, Japanese I met are very nice and polite (almost all). There are some crazy Japanese too... but very least.
