Move on or wait forever

It's funny how you can want someone for so long, so badly.. you fight for them day and night, they're all you think about. You cry for them, pray for them, wish to have them. And once you get them, life becomes beautiful. But then they leave you, then they come back, then they leave again, and you keep falling into a cycle of waiting around for them, fighting to keep them, and questioning their love for you. Yet, you still let yourself go through that pain and keep taking them back, because you love them, unconditionally. But then comes a day when you no longer want them because you're so tired of just waiting, and trying to get them. But since you've waited for so long, do you move on or do you still wait? Do you trust them with your heart with the risk of it being broken once again? Or do you save yourself the heartache and move on? What if you've stopped missing them and you're slowly losing feelings? What would you do?

How are we sure that OP has been 100/100 in all aspects that she deserves all the positivity and the guy all the negativity. We havent heard the other side nor are we being told. It is a one sided story. In all fairness, I may extend all support and wish all good to happen to OP but would refrain from belitteling the guy. Guys generally dont turn away just like that and exceptions do happen, but we dont know.

britexpat, sorry to know that. Hope you have moved on.

You shone through all that pain, do you feel like Lady Galadriel now? If not, you still have some way to go before becoming a beacon of unconditional love :)

I gave unconditional love to my Cuban Shotputter and shined in my capacity to love , but it was vary painful :O(

Hmm, that cycle of acceptance/rejection can do 2 things to you. Help you grow into a loving being, or make you shrink back into your shell and never allow anyone to hurt you again (that never works). Sometimes we reverberate between these two extremes, trying to find a way out.

It is better to grow into a loving individual who knows how to give unconditional love. Don't expect anything in return :) just shine in your capacity to love, even when it hurts the most.

But if the other person does take you for granted, it's time to move on. That person is selfish, and far behind you in terms of growth. The worst part is, he/she might stifle your growth as well. With your capacity for unconditional love, you should find someone worthy of receiving it, and getting back some without asking for it :)

Good luck!

Move on! You have to turn the page and get to the other chapter to fine happiness. There is so much more out there for you and looking back will only stop you from finding real love.

Marriage, Bf.....move on. Love doesn't hurt, and that's what they are doing to you. Easier said than done, but in the end you'll end up resenting them and be miserable. Not worth your time..

If children are involved, moving on will show them courage. You don't need someone in your life that makes you feel worthless.

My opinion

If you have tried hard, then I believe it's time to let go & move on. You will feel more relieved once you have let go. You will soon feel how silly you are waiting & waiting . As long as you have tried yr best, then there is nothing much more you can do than to move on. Life is more than just waiting.

your details seems not to be complete. with regards to moving on and waiting. There are some reasons why you need to move on and there are reasons to keep you waiting. Try to weigh reasons of which and then the consiquences of what will your decision will be.

Hahaha....Moving is easy as everyone say, i mean as a person, but if you loved truly that moving means towards to hell, day by day u will burn inside after that, waiting is fine coz at least you will keep hope without getting hurt, WAIT

in my opinion it's not that easy to decide, there is difference if it is BF or husband and there is difference in husband case if there are any children or no. initially any person will reply "move on" but my reply is conditional

"if he is BF then move on

if he is husband and no children then count to 100 before deciding to move on

if he is husband & u have kids from him then waiting for ever is better than destroying the family"

finally, u should consult some experienced ppl "e.g. ur parents" for such decision to avoid regret in the future

good luck
