Breaking News - iPhone5
Dear All,
It is breaking news for me to see today's Gulf Times news paper. CEO of Apple "Tim Cook" apologised to customers frustrated with glaring error in its new Maps services. So, be careful before buying iPhone5. As every retail chains are taking premium over the price. By paying such a high price, we are not going to get what Apple is famous for. Very sad.............to see.
Well then it's the alternatives that you should use for now
I fully agree with you Mr wasim123 but apple is apple...no doubt Nokia 920 is much better phone in features than any other smart phone available in the market. But Nokia 920 isn't in the market and people are waiting for the launch of Nokia 920, then we can compare it with other smart phone.
i phone 5 sucks...just run of the mill apple phones..it high time apple should do something innovative...i really liked the nokia lumia 920...what a grt phone
not iPhone 5... its the new ios6 maps.. Tim Cook apologized and asked ios6 map users to use alternative maps till they solve the glitches and other problems...
Obviously its new service so bugs will be there.. if u look at positive side they brought the revolutionary 3D style
Have patience..
@mattnonon - Dude its their wish.. just tell ur opinion no need ask people to stop..all smartphones have their on style except for Samsung :p :p
Jokin..
Apples going downhill...Ipad 3 wasn't really an upgrade at all.
I hate iPhone for many reasons,..and for maps,..you cannot use it offline except by many tricks,..!!
while for Android (2.2 and above), you can save it...
frankly, Nokia was the best in maps,...
It's NOT just the iPhone 5! iPhone 4 too ... It must be caused by IOS 6 :(
And Mirage, it's not true that the map app isn't useful in Qatar! I used mine all the time - until I upgraded!
iphone 4 and 4s is the best :) ...
hmmmmmmmmm its realy very bad,,,,
Yup I was shocked when I saw his letter and understood how bad the maps app actually is. However, maps apps aren't very useful in Qatar (lacks a lot of information), there are many alternatives to use as Tim Cooks said including Google Maps web version.
breaking news? huh?
is iphone5 a map phone? if u want maps buy a gps instead...aren't u going to use the other features?
