We are considering moving into a 1 bedroom in Qanat Quartier.
Based on your posting, I estimate that you've been living there for a little more than 6 months now. I have a few questions if you don't mind.
How is it living there? Do you recommend it? Is there an accessible gym anywhere nearby? Do you have any idea if stores/restaurants/cafes will be opening up soon in the area? And do any restaurants deliver to apartments there?
I'm sorry to ask so many questions. I really appreciate it.
It is a very attractive area but very very few of the properties have so far been released / occupied. Some are quite a long way from the beach. There is also a marina adjacent. I cannot however see a gym or swimming pool anywhere in the development. Most blocks are town houses or low rise apartments.
There are literally hundreds of small shop units alongside the canals. I cannot see them ever being a commercial success. Overall it is one of these developer's / architect's dreams which looks good both on paper and as built - but will anyone actually want to live and shop there????
currently living in QQ for a week...quiet compared to Porto Arabia...but the quality of the finishes/equipment within the apartments are better......+ easy beach access...
I work near it. The Pearl may not be the best choice at the moment. It's an empty and desolated place, still in construction. There is not much to do there... for now...

That'd be a pity
