Driving School latest Info?

This might be funny if not weird to some but I have never learned how to drive (unless you count "Need For Speed" and "Crazy Taxi" as driving) and I would like to do it whilst I'm in Doha. The last information I've got about driving in this forum is about 4 years back. Are there any difference?

1. I've been to Riyadh a few times, are the drivers in Doha any worse than Riyadh?
2. Which is the best driving school for an absolute beginner where the instructors doesn't shout in your ears?
3. What's the price like nowadays?
4. What are the class hours?

Thanks.

hi oldnile,. i've learned driving in my home country, and i have a driving license from there also but that licensed expired last may 2012, i'm planning to apply for a driving license because my company requires me to have one.,

my question is:

am i allowed to take the direct test for driving? or i should take a driving lesson first, then take the driving test/exam?

no way! I believe Doha drivers are far better than Riyadh drivers.

go to any school that is near and convenient to you. if the instructor shout in your ear go to the manager and get another instructor.

all the best ...

Latest info i hear is now you have to give a theory exam before you even get behind the wheels. Timings you can choose whatever is convenient for you, however i hear there is a long waiting list to even get date to begin your classes. Dont know how they drive in Riyadh you will have to judge that for yourself.
