My house owner is not giving the advance which I have given when I came to that house.

Just two months completed in that house, but due to some emergency situation, my family is returning to their native.

Now I want to vacate the house, but he is not giving the advance.

He said in the agreement it was mentioned like you have to stay for 1 year or else your advance wont be returned back.

But this emergency situation I cant avoid it.

So can i complaint this in police station ?, if so can anyone guide me what is the procedure to do that ?

anybody has any experience on it.

4000 QAR paid as advance :(

if the contract you've signed specified all the agreements then the advance payment will be forfeited. try to convince the landlord if he can refund at least half of your advance just for consideration

And the advice is: never pay anything in advance. If you won't get the flat then try another one.

Advance payment always not refundable, that is why when you vacate tha house you have to tell in advance atleast 2 or 1 month to give time for the owner for replacement so that it will be continue rental every month.

Nothing u can do it if it is mentioned in the agreement....

But u can do one thing to recover your advance money before leaving the flat look for the other tenant for your replacement...and you can get the advance from the new tenant .

Whatever your landlord said, if it is clearly specified in your signed tenancy contract, then I'm afraid u can't do anything. Even lodging a police complaint will not make any difference and police will support your landlord as well.
