I was under the Nurse Trainee position now, may I ask what is the next step after finishing the required time of training period?

Hi everyone, is there a chance for a private nurse under personal visa to apply as a nurse trainee? I have been a private nurse for a private family here in qatar for 6yrs now. Have hospital experience last 2010. My QID profession is nurse though but ai am torn as if it is possible for me to apply as nurse trainee. Hopefully somebody can shed some light on this. Thank you.

I’m currently a nurse trainee in a private medical center here in Qatar. I have been with them for a year now. I started September 2019 and as per QCHP, I need 2 years training to be eligible for the RGN license. I have no problem with that since I am willing to finish my 2 year training.

On September 5, 2019 I got my Nurse Trainee temporary license and my focal point told me I have to wait for 6 months before applying again for a medical license under Nurse Trainee. Since I have no idea how to work on it, I just followed what they told me and waited until March 2020 for the 6th month mark. First week of March 2020, they applied for my medical license but, this time, QCHP replied that I have to apply again for the evaluation as nurse trainee because my first temporary license expired. I completed all the documents that they asked for... so, I received my medical license as Nurse Trainee on April 4, 2020. Would that mean that my current employer just tricked me into waiting for 6 months before applying for a Nurse Trainee Medical License? Because the comment from the evaluator in my QCHP application for license says: the experience that will be considered will only be from April 4,2020 onwards.

I am really stressed about this. I am only receiving very little allowance monthly and I'm afraid that I’ll have to wait longer than 2 years before they pay me regularly. My job is no different from the other nurses in the area even if I’m a trainee and there are no benefits for me.

A: In your QCHP registration landing page, you will be able to see the state of your application under "current status". e.g. pending applicant completion, pending employer approval, under process by QCHP... these are some remarks that you would expect under that category. In the event that it was under process by QCHP, any updates about your application, you will be notified via your registered mobile number and email address.

A: ONLY Licensed Healthcare Practitioners (HCPs) in Qatar has the option to request COGS. All non-license/ still applying (under process) for registration has limited access in their QCHP registration portal, hence, cannot apply for such.

If the company hired you as a "company nurse" and the employment certificate issued to you states so, yes, you can use it.

Yes, the employer can process the application for you. but if they act slow, you can process it yourself and just request from them the required documents.

@ ajaikumarr - Yes you can apply for data flow. with regards, if you can provide the required requirements then there is a high chance of getting a license to practice.

@ sreekanthputhuvelil - with regards to change of license from nurse to paramedic, that I do not know, i'm sorry. kindly inquire with your department head if that is necessary or a nurse license will be sufficient for you to practice as a paramedic.

@ Jelomendoza - you can visit QCHP Open day every Monday 8am-12pm together with your focal point to make an enquiry about the delay of your evaluation. the processing may vary from one applicant to another. In my experience, one of my colleague got his evaluation less than 3 days. Some of the took more than 6 months but less than 1 year however the delay was due to some irregularities in their documents where they were called for panel interview.

I am sorry if your law in Delhi mandates you to work there in order for your license to be renewed. Check with your fellow nurse in Delhi if there is other way to resolve this issue.

if your visa is not a nurse and your company is not registered then you will not get a licensed. plain and simple, if your employer is not equipped to provide you the needed requirements e.g. nurse visa, licensed facility certificate, et cetera.. they leave that company and don't waste your time. Dataflow and Prometric exam are not waste of money and time, it will help you achieve your goals to become a nurse here in Qatar.

Your evaluation needs a potential employer. no problem if you are still in search for work as long as you have submitted the required documents during evaluation phase. and i believe there is a need for a "potential employer" if you have that then you can proceed to Evaluation.

If they will not approve the transfer of employer, you can create a new account and apply for a new evaluation for a new employer. you are not under their sponsorship because you are under husbands. for further inquiry about your case, go with your PRO to MOPH open day is every monday at 8am-12pm. Room 28.

First, she needs a letter from QCHP that she lacks experience/ break of practice. then she will undergo the required training, after the completion, she can apply for re-evaluation. to re-apply, she needs to request a certificate for training completion from the company attaching the licensed practitioner who supervised her. she needs to upload this document to her account and wait for the result.

my wife is here in qatar under my sponsorship. she is an optometrist(coming under allied health practitioner) and she has two years of experience in india.

now she got an opportunity to work in doha. data flow result i have recieved. now i have to apply for evaluation but she is having only two years of experience instead of three years (as per law).

her company is ready to provide training also if required.

so i am confused how to apply for evaluation, if apply for evaluation along with the request for training or can i apply for training after evaluation result received.

one more doubt is if the evaluation result is negative as insufficient experience can i apply again?

I've been working as a company nurse since august. I have data flow and prometric ready. But my visa and qid is not mentioned as nurse and the company may not be listed or registered. Can anyone help me on how to obtain my nurse license and not waste my time and money on completing my data flow and passing prometric.

My Delhi nursing license is expired and I have been informed by to QCHP to verify it by Dataflow.I am confused as I had checked with Delhi nursing council and they have told that they wont renew it unless I am working in Delhi.

at Rensmee14 - No need tp go back to the Philippines you cant get your lacking experience here. Just make sure your employer is a licensed facility. Now QCHP is requiring that you will work under a licensed practitioner depending on the recommendation if 3, 6, or 12 months training. Dataflow is a verificcation method. It will check if your documents is true and not fabricated.

@ akhildeva25 - I see that you are husband sponsor. no problem you can transfer anyware but the discretion to approved your transfer relies on your primary employer. Just make a reasonable compromise with them so that they will approve your transfer of workplace.

Last January 2016, there's a new law of QCHP which states that those who have at least 1 year valid WORKING experience as a NURSE in the Philippines can apply for license as a general scope nurse here right away, granted that his/her mother/father/husband/wife has a residence permit here.

Just attached your parent/spouse's Qatar ID and your birth certificate in your application for evaluation at the QCHP website, at the additional information page.

To those who have 0 experience in the Philippines, you need to apply for evaluation as a NURSE TRAINEE first and then apply for change scope of work from NURSE TRAINEE to GENERAL SCOPE NURSE after 1 year of training.

All of these does not apply to those who doesn't have parents/spouse here who has resident permit, regardless of the visa whether it be working/family/business etc.

Regarding your dataflow, apply ASAP and start looking for an employer so you can start applying for evaluation and just attached your dataflow receipt so they will know that it is now under process. But during the application for licensing stage, you should attach your dataflow certificate/result.

Could anyone help me? i am currently now in Doha as family visa, i am planning to apply here as a nurse, but my working experience in hospital setting is 1 yr and 8mos in the Philippines and 7mos certificate as Volunteer Nurse in Philippine Red Cross.I have already done my Prometric, but still no Dataflow.

My question is, Is it possible for me to get a dataflow here? and have a license here in Qatar? even though my work experience as staff nurse is below 2years? could i find a job here even in Polyclinic? or do i need to go back to Philippines to complete my 2years experience just to have work here?

@ avidee - if your evaluation was completed. were you able to receive a evaluation passing certificate? I yes, do not worry. now continue serching for an employer that will provide you nurse visa and that employer should have a licensed facility. then you can transfer your workplace to that new employer.

@ marshmallow18 - If your evaluation was completed you will be able to receive an evaluation paasing certificate and CID arabic letter. Now what I can suggest is to go to SCH on monday (open day) with your PRO to discuss the matter. From what I understand, nurse trainee and volunteer is not accepted.. the decision making as a staff nurse and as a trainee or volunteer is not the same. you are limited therefore it is not accepted. If they will require you training, you can receive the guidelines in your email sent by SCH.

1) after completing evaluation is any chance to reject licence because of long gap?i completed evaluation 2 month's ago but my employer unable to give me working visa now I am searching some other job one agency told me that even I completed evaluation I won't get licence to work has a nurse I need to work as a trainee for 1 year or more is it true? I am confused

2)I requested good standing certificate from my home country India almost 2 month's ago direct to qchp now I want to confirm is it reach or not how I can contact them ?

Please tell me the process. I dont know how. & is there other requirements i should be expecting after evaluation? Hello everyone! Good day! My situation now is i think a bit complicated. Im done with prometric & dataflow. I applied for evaluation under my possible employer. Then the qchp sent it back asking for more experience because of 1 year & 10 months only, i knew they needed 2 yrs. I asked my emoloyer what to do & told me to just submit it again & i did then they approved it & it was under process again. I actually had other work experience that i wasnt able to had it dataflow because a lot of employers was telling me that work experience as nurse trainee is not qualified with dataflow. I did research & saw that it is allowed & recently knew that there is an office of dataflow so i went there to confirm. Then the dataflow personnel gladly accepted my other experience as nurse trainee which was 4 months & said that it is allowed, only volunteer is not considered. So i had that 4 months processed so that my experience would be total of 2 yrs & 2 months (i actually have another 5 months but it is not allowed already because it was more than 3 yrs ago) Then i was hoping that qchp wont make a final decision so that i could attach my additional 4 months. Unfortunately, qchp made a decision that i lack the experience to apply again & instructed to change my scope from general scope nurse to nurse trainee & attach a copy of license of a nurse that will supervise me. So i went to my employer, they gave me a copy, i followed the qchp's instruction then i wrote in the comment that i have an additional experience that is in process with dataflow & that i attached a scanned copy of the dataflow receipt. I was hoping that they might consider it. My qchp evaluation was under process again.

After waiting for a month the qchp sent a text message & an email that my evaluation is completed. I checked my qchp account & was completed but there was no comment from the evaluator whether how many months i will go under training? I called my employer & talked to the medical director & told me that its okay already that they will call me back after eid to start my medical exams, blood works, etc... i asked if the report said anything about training for how many months? The medical director said, no..it was not mentioned. It is okay.

My question here is, will i go for training or will i be working as nurse already? (how will i know if i will go under training as nurse trainee & for how long) Or if it means that the qchp evaluator considered my additional attachment & did not require training for me anymore?

I have not seen my final report yet with the employer, will get it this week. But for now i really want to hear opinions because i am confused & i dont know what to expect. I checked my qchp account & the Current Status says Evaluation Completed. Then i click on the last row, the Comments. There are no comments from the qchp evaluator. I also tried clicking the highlightened word Evaluation Completed then a box appeared

My employer is nice but it has been giving me a hard time to communicate with them, i get different answers from their staffs who talk to me & came to a point when i asked what to do, the staff told me.."i dont know. What to do next after that?" It got me worried & disappointed for them not knowing the process properly.

@ By Nurse09 Yes, that is correct. you cannot proceed to the next step since you have lacking documents. now, you can upload it yourself, just open your account and upload the required documents. make sure after uploading a document always click save before proceeding to the next section. then submit it once your done. then inform your employer that you have submitted your documents and you see in your status "pending employer approval" hope this helps.

Ive been sending email to my employer asking what to do after they asked for my prc lic and dataflow report but I haven't heard anything from them. Thankyou sir

@ Nurse09 - i am assuming that your application for evaluation was sent back because of a lacking document? no need to worry, chillax.. just provide the requested document by your employer and they will resubmit your application. Always check your account and ffup your employer regarding the status of your application because some employers works like a turtle.

@ djoanonymous - if that is the case where your previous employer cannot be reached, the MOPH may invite you for an interview and there you can explain the reason why it is unreacheable. after that they will require you to reverify in dataflow. dataflow will instruct you to provide them updated certificate with updated contact number. its a long journey but you can reach there in the end. hope this help.

@ rodel - your experience here in Qatar in not valid because you are not a registered health practitioner. Since you passed the prometric and completed the dataflow and the project was completed, try to secure NOC and look for a company with a licensed facility to start processing your evaluation. you can use your 5 years experience since it was the one verified by dataflow group.

@ tnythms - you can apply for evaluation granting you have a potential employer with a license facility that you can use. The process is like this, once you uploaded and submitted the required documents during the evaluation stage, the potential will approve that. after the approval of the employer, it is by then processed by QCHP. Hi everyone I am applying for a nurse position in Hamad. I just thought I completed my stage 1 evaluation but the evaluator has a comment that it was pending evaluation of document. They told me to verify my Philippine license. I asked my employer what to do but they only asked for my license and dataflow report. I dont know what to do. hi fellow nurses. I would just like to know what is the process in the QCHP evaluation. I mean, is it like the dataflow, verifying all the credentials submitted? Because I might be having a problem, the contact number I put in the previous employer is not being used anymore? Would this cause an inelligibility for me?although, my dataflow is already completed and verified and I did uploaded that report in my evaluation application. Im worried that this is the reason that my evaluation is taking too long to process.

Hello rodel, I'm afraid to tell you that your experience will no longer be considered valid since you/ your company did not register with the SCH. In order to validate your experience even as a trainee, registering with the SCH is mandatory. Please do find out more if you can directly with SCH on this matter.

I was hired as a nurse here in qatar for the past 2years as this was the first time the company started they have not yet registered our site clinic but it did not went as planned and I was not registered as a nurse until the project ended which last for 2 years. Am currently in family visa, finished my data flow, passed interview with hamad medical but due to this restructuring appointment is delaying.

@ otakuseiyuu - Based on the QCHP flow chart, dataflow first before taking the exam. but you not a problem otherwise. Your 2012 to 2014 nurse assistant will not be credit as nurse experience. If you have work in Saudi as a nurse, then i presumed that you have registered in Saudi Commission for Health Specialties so that you can use that. but still you lack the required experience to get the license here in Qatar. A minimum of 2 years is required. I hope this will help.

@ [email protected] - No it will not affect. do not worry about your evaluation. There is an option to "apply to change place of work" so, just transfer it with your new employer during the licensing stage.

i would just like to clarify some things. So for me to start my career as a nurse in Qatar, I need to find an employer first so that they can assist me with the process? Is it exam first before dataflow? Or dataflow from employer then exam? And will I have a problem with my dataflow if ever? Because I started working as nurse assistant from 2012 to 2014. Then by august 2014 to january 2015 i am classified as clinic nurse from our clinic since i just passed the NLE last may 2014. Then by march 2015 I started working in Saudi as Staff Nurse. What if the evaluation & licensing processing time is pass my tourist visa expiration? And by that time i will exit qatar and i'll just wait for the process to be completed there, is it possible?

license renewal 15 working days

change place of work 15 working days

certificate of good standing 25 working days.

there are factors that can delay the processing as @syedminhaj explained. Hope this help.

@vinjo - your 1 year gap is acceptable. we have a case with 1 year gap and he was able to obtain a license here in Qatar.

Evaluation usually takes a month's time. But may take longer now due to Ramadan & festive holidays approaching. You should have a Qatar ID in order to apply for a Nurse licence.

@ meeradevu - what internship you arre talking about? if you dont have enough experience, you can start one and apply as nurse trainee since you have the time under husband sponsorship,

@ tosh1925 - granting that you got all the required documents and experience, you will be able to get your license here around 4 to 6 months.

@ elleonnoraa - our premise is a licensed health care practitioner should only work to a licensed health care facility. therefore, QCHP will not approved your application. I suggest you find another company that has a licensed facility and that can give you a nurse visa. I hope this helps.

@ faithmarie - if you were working as an unlicensed nurse in Saudi then it cannot be credited. you can add that to your CV that you worked there as long as you have a certificate of employment proving such claim. i hope this helps.

@ avidee - to avoid complications in your application as a nurse here in Qatar, a minimum of 2 years must be complied. less than the required years will give you a headache. another work through is try to verify other nursing related experiences. if they accept or not, its up to the QCHP evaluators if they will put you under nurse trainee. hope this helps

@ jefrybotat - if the dataflow group is unable to verify your employment in Libya because of the prevailing issues there, try to contact your friends who is still working their and try to get update regarding how the dataflow group is able to reached your HR so that they can verify your employment there. hope this helps.

@ Al Jalillah Jannat - Yes it is normal that they exceed the 20 working days waiting period. especially if the processing fall under the holy month of ramadan where working hours are being shortened. SCH opens from 8:30am to 12:30 pm only. so expect delays during this month. If you have received confirmation that you have completed the licensing phase. no need to contact your focal point. just login to your QCHP account and you can view your elicense there. no physical card will be issued anymore. Sorry for the late reply.

I've completed my dataflow and passed qatar prometric exam. I was locally hired here as a site nurse. Their healthcare facility (first aid unit) is not yet licensed / registered in MOPH so that's why I am also not yet registered in QCHP because one of their registration requirements is to have a licensed health care facility. All of my documents are ready except for ILS training. My visa is on process and was submitted just today. you'll need a registration number from Saudi Council although you worked as a Trainee, that number is proof that you were a registered trainee and not just somebody working in No-man's land.

I am a nurse from India I completed my general nursing year 2006 September soon I joined hospital and worked as a medical surgical nurse till 2009 in 2 different hospitals later 2009 may I got a opportunity to go Kuwait I thought I will work their in hospital or clinics unfortunately I did get a chance, so I decided to work as a home nurse I worked 2.9 yrs later year 2012 I went back India and joined college for post basic bsc nursing I completed it year 2014.then I joined one hospital in India as a nurse I worked their for 1 year.3 months ago I came Qatar through visit visa and applied for the post of staff nurse but my application rejected because lack of experience but one agency offer me as dental assistant for that I need to write dental assistant promertic ( I already wrote promertic and also completed dataflow ) my visa gona finish Jan 18th I can't understand what to do next

My doubt is if I joined as a dental assistant my nursing carrier will finish? These years of my struggle will Weaste? To work as a nurse in qatar how many years of experience needed? In this situation what can I do? Please replay

Hello me.abunazeer, I log on to my registration application and my license application is still under process by SCH. Its already 21 days now since my employer submitted my application via QCHP webpage. I was told that it only takes around 20 working days before evaluation officer respond via QCHP webpage that an application is completed and license card can be collected. Is it normal that they exceeded the 20 days waiting period? Should I follow up my application to my focal point/employer if my license is already issued or not? or visit SCH regarding the status of my application? Thank you, hoping for your reply.

@prasobhmn - that will be a big problem. trust me. your company needs to transfer your visa. they can apply for you in the ministry of interior. Takes 1-2 weeks processing.

@NILA25 - First of all, in order for you to work as a practicing nurse in Qatar, you need to comply with the state requirements and that is you need to have a valid license to practice here in Qatar. Second, 10 months paid experience? chances are, the institution who issued that certificated from the Philippines will be blacklisted, all applicants from that institution can no longer apply and practice their profession as a nurse for that reason.

@mischa_veron: are those work experience related to nursing profession? work experience means you are employed, not a volunteer. Based on the data you provided, your accumulated work experience is around 8 years if my math is correct. Dataflow is the process of verifying your documents if its true and correct. If they found out any falsification of documents or the institution deliberately provided misleading information, you and your institution will be blacklisted in all GCC countries. You need to provide everything in your CV. I think they will ask for extra charge per additional employer. Please check with dataflow with this one.

@Johndp: SCH require at least 2 years work experience. If there is any vacancy well she definitely can get a job granting she can fulfill all needed requirement. Recruitment agency from India can help you regarding this matter as they are knowledgeable to the current need of nurses especially for females. A lot of Female Indian here are seeking for local recruitment but I am not aware with regards to the current need and demand.

My wife has been working as a nurse in NICU in India for 1.6 years and later joined for post graduation.Her courses are over now, so will she be able find a job in Doha?

Don't waste your time. SCH is the only authority who can tell you that you can work as a nurse trainee. Follow their recommendation. Nurse Visa is a requirement during your application for you to practice as a nurse here in Qatar. Yes you may have residence visa but the category must be a nurse

Thanks for the quick response! I have a residence visa. The clinic is not providing the visa for me. I had a dialysis training back in Phil but i dont think SCH would consider it as work experience. I'm not sure if the clinic has a licensed nurse, but maybe they do. I'm starting as a nurse trainee since i dont qualify under the general scope category yet.

@mrs.adlao: first, what visa will they give you? if nurse visa, no problem. 2nd, do you have a practicing licensed nurse working in that Dental Clinic? If they have, no problem. What concerns me is your lack of work experience. Therefore, the SCH will mandate you to undergo a training directly supervised by a licensed nurse and a provisional license will be issued for you. After completing the recommended number of months/ year, you can apply for re-evaluation where you will provide a clinical attachment as a proof of your training and that is the time where you can process your General Scope Nurse application.

That's great that you have completed your dataflow and prometric exam but wait there's more. :) To answer your question, Yes, with the help of your employer. From what I understand, you need at least 2 years work experience. However, if your employer has a licensed nurse on deck, no need to worry. during the evaluation, if SCH thinks your experience is not enough to qualify, they will give you a provisional license where you need to work directly supervised by a licensed nurse. after you completed their requirements, you can apply for re-evaluation and get the desired license you needed.

Your experience is legit. You are working as a Company Nurse form Jan 2013 - December 2014. It would mean almost 2 years of recent experience. by definition, a "break of practice (BOP)" is a period of time during which a health practitioner has not been working in their scope of practice and ongoing part-time work (of any amount) is not considered to constitute a break in practice. in the event that any applicant has taken a break from practice.

10 years = not eligible for registration.

Therefore, based on the information you provided, I can say that you are eligible for registration. Make sure the company that you are working with has a licensed medical facility and they will issue a nurse visa so that your application will run smoothly.

@Al Jalilah Jannat - First, your COGS must be addressed directly to SCH. Attachment from you will make it invalid. 2nd, if you have complete documents upon submission processing would not take much time. My evaluation only took 3 working days after submission. Your break of practice concerns me, I believe you cannot get a nurse license immediately and you need to work under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Hope this info will help.

Hello, I'm @ evaluation stage, when I checked online it says completed but result pending evaluation of documents. I did not attach a COGS from PRC yet, I recently ask my relative to process it on behalf of me. I have a 2+ yrs break of practice due to motherhood. It took 1 month for the SCH to complete my evaluation plus more than 2 wks now pending evaluation of documents. My question is why it took them too long to decide for my papers is it because I did not send a COGS from PRC yet? I'm confuse because I thought COGS is submitted during licensing stage and not during evaluation stage so I recently request to PRC only. But SCH they not told to send a COGS they only contact my employer to send a new photo. Does COGS must be sent during evaluation stage or licensing stage? Is it because I did not send a COGS thats why my evaluation result is pending Or is it because of my break of practice the reason for result delay? Thanks.

@vonrailey - just put the month and year you can recall your internship... I believe you included that internship to your CV, then attached your CV in your application.

@iche - internship means the period of training you gained as a nurse intern.. In my application, i included my school and volunteer experience,.. I attached my RLE and volunteer certificates.

@renya - If I am not mistaken, 1 year of continuous experience will qualify you to get a license here...and when I applied for evaluation last June 2012, my last hospital experience was Sept. 2011, If my math is correct that is 9 months :) so your 7 months is acceptable (fingers crossed) :)

@gayle016 - I am a kabayan for your info :) anyways, you really need to have a certificate that you underwent for a training under a licensed nurse. it was very clear in your evaluation result that you were rejected because you are lack some required experience. Now, one of my colleagues required experience is now completed. Our company doctor made a request letter to re-evaluate him to get a license here in Qatar in compliance to SCH provisions.

@pjips - first congratulations for passing the exam. To get a police clearance you need to fill up a form. much better you coordinate with your company PRO so that s/he can assist you. 2 years ago processing for a police clearance is just a breeze. but now they are requiring some papers from immigration so much better you coordinate with your PRO. You can visit CID going Shaliya Road for inquiries how to obtain police clearance.

My data flow is completed and i have already applied my papers for evaluation which is under process with SCH, but without COGS(Certificate of Good Standing).

I requested for my Certificate of Good Standing from India to SCH. It was sent through DHL 2 weeks back. How do i check in SCH if my certificate has reached and how do i attach it? Whats the further process of COGS now. Pls advice and help regarding COGS.

@janij - you can directly go to SCH and ask for the requirement needed and application form for facility inspection.

@gayle016 - in that case, have faith and pray, "ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will find, knock and it will be opened for you," You need to find an employer with licensed facility and you must work under the supervision of a licensed nurse. after completion just submit any proof such as letter from the company, attached schedule, etc. then re-apply for re-evaluation.

@sheilam - from my experience, my application for evaluation was rejected that time because the facility i gave them was not found in their system. make sure that the company is really processing their license because some employer are good in giving false reassurance.

if you plan to take prometric exam, select "nurse specialist" - then pay $200 online thru credit card... it is a 70item exam... you need to correctly answer at least half of it for you to pass... the result is valid for 3 years....
